Questions and Answers

Q : I would like to upload your work to my website. May I?

A : No, you can't, we're afraid. We wish our site to be unique thus don't want unnecessary distribution channels. This also means to treat everybody equally, not to affiliate specific individuals or groups for their conveniences. We spent time and built English page for non-native Japanese people. You can always download the newest version from here. We believe it is  fine enough for you.

Q : We would like to use your planes as approved aircraft for our squadron. Is there any problem?

A : For squadron use, we wish you to be careful. As we answered above, we don't wish our work to be distributed openly to public other than our web site. So, we would like you to limit the distributions to the members only, may be via E-mail. This doesn't restrict modifications and tune-ups for your squadron special version. You can repaint, tune-up flight characteristics but they must stay "for your eyes only" unless authorized.

Q : I made new skins for your plane. Can I upload and distribute them?

A : It really is an honor for us that you chose our planes for your art work. If you would like to distribute ONLY skins you painted, please feel free to do it. If you would like to distribute your skins with our original airframe as one package, including all the necessary files, don't hesitate to ask us before you upload the package. We welcome repainting always.

Q : I found your *.air and *.dp are inaccurate. Let me improve it!

A : Sure thing. That is very helpful of you to validate our flight characteristics/damage profiles. Feel free to distribute the *.air/*.dp. If you kindly allow us to improve our models based on your information, we'll sure credit you at our web.  But, like the condition above, if you would like to distribute it with entire package, please ask us before.

Q : I would like your plane(s) appear in my mission.

A : Feel free to make it appear in your scenery or mission. But please do not include the package(s) into your mission pack. I wish you kindly tell people where the mission planes can be down loaded.

You may think it is very bothering to ask every single permission. But please remember that developers spent hours, days, weeks, most usually over a month to build the stuffs. With a few lines of phrases and a single click of send button of e-mail, you can use it as the starting point of your work. We believe that's a very good deal.

Here is a quote from a BBS regarding freeware program. I believe the idea is very same for freeware planes.

"Proper respects should be paid to the talent and the effort of the freeware programmer. Gratitude should be expressed for their generosity as releasing their jobs for free. Other wise, you might hurt their feeling and they would stop releasing freeware anymore."
